How It Works

Click the piano keys or use your computer keyboard (A-Z keys map to notes) to play sounds. Choose from multiple waveform types (sine, square, sawtooth, triangle) for different timbres. Adjust the ADSR envelope to control attack, decay, sustain, and release. Add effects like reverb, delay, and filtering. Use the volume control and octave shifter. Record your performance and download as audio file. The synthesizer uses Tone.js library for professional-quality audio synthesis running entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play with my computer keyboard?

Yes! Use keys A-Z to play notes. The keyboard maps chromatically starting from C.

What are waveforms?

Waveforms determine the tone color. Sine = pure tone, Square = hollow/clarinet-like, Sawtooth = bright/brassy, Triangle = mellow flute-like.

Can I record my music?

Yes! Click 'Start Recording', play your music, then 'Stop Recording' to download as audio file.

What is ADSR?

ADSR controls the sound envelope: Attack (fade-in), Decay (drop), Sustain (hold level), Release (fade-out). It shapes how notes sound.

Do I need to download anything?

No! The synthesizer runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Just visit and play.
